What is "Technology"?

The term “technology” refers to advancements in methods and tools we use to solve problems or achieve a goal. At some point in history, pencil, paper, and chalkboard were the advance technologies in education. Today, it is changed and presentation software, cloud based intelligent education software, high-tech tablets, online collaboration and conferencing tools are the technology of time. The newest technologies allow us to try things in physical and virtual classrooms that were not possible before and opens new horizon for thinking and learning.

If we teach today's students

as we taught yesterday's

we rob them of tomorrow. John Dewey

Digital Teaching Systems

The technological development in last decade is sweeping through every field including classroom in schools. New technologies like Artificial Intelligence, simulation software, games and educational software are not just changing the role of educators but evolving it to a different level and creating philosophical shifts in approaches to teaching and remodeling the classroom. It is challenging the paradigm that “all seven-year-olds are the same and should be exposed to the same content”. At one end, theory of “Multiple Intelligences” is changing the understanding of cognitive development, while at the other end technology is making it possible to facilitate educators to accommodate unique learning styles on a case-by-case basis for small groups of students or even individual students in classroom.

Digital Teaching Platforms

The next level of teaching is Digital Teaching Platforms. Digital teaching platforms are designed to operate in one-to-one classrooms, deliver a personalized curriculum to every student, and provide support for the teacher to manage all classroom activities.

It contains open-ended explorations, practice environments, games, videos and other digital learning objects. In the core of every digital teaching platform, it contains a large collection of online learning tools and games ranging from videos, quizzes, animations, simulations, and puzzles, all aligned to standards, made completely searchable, and organized into a complete curriculum.

Digital Teaching Platform consists of five elements. Our team optimizes all these elements to produce a pleasant experience for users at every tier.

Hardware and Seamless Integration

The selection of technology for any learning systems is always challenging due to influence of multiple technical, managerial, pedagogical and financial factors. Also once identified, integrating these tools poses different type of challenges. Our experienced team and innovative technology enables seamless assimilation of instruction and assessment for a deeply personalized learning experience for all users.

Digital Curriculum and Software

Focusing on the use of scenarios and real-world situations to enhance the eLearning experience, online curriculum uses the traditional “Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy” of “Problem-Based Learning,” “Inquiry-Based Learning” and the more progressive, team dynamic, “Project-Based Learning” models and augments these learning platforms with an Entertainment-Based Learning supplement.

Bloom’s Taxonomy divides educational objectives into the three domains of “cognitive,” “affective” and “psychomotor” sometimes loosely described as “Knowing/head,” “Feeling/heart,” and “Doing/hands.” Educational psychology aids learning structures in the realms of “behavior,” “cognition,” and “construction”. Digital Platforms intend to enhance these education programs with a progressive entertainment element.

At every grade, students are engaged in higher-level thinking through decision-making tasks such as evaluating alternatives to select the best course of action. Problem solving has long been used in teaching mathematics, but it can also be used in teaching grammar, English and science through “error analysis”. This platform uses various levels of cognitive complexity to embed real-world elements of humor (stress release), mystery (curiosity) and amazement (imagination) in the entertainment supplements.

Data Collection and Analytics

In last decade, the education systems and educators moved toward competency-based learning. Our system is designed to intelligently assess student concept and skill level for each topic.

The specially developed tools are designed to assess progress of individual student based on demonstrated mastery of a concept and collect the data in the required format. The data assessment makes it easy for teacher to customize lesson for individual student or small selective group of students. A robust and customized set of reports detail student usage, progress, and proficiency and provides teachers and administrators insight into individual student progress through the curriculum. This enables management to measure actual progress of learning instead of number of classes recorded and help in adjusting and improving the learning goals and policies.

The processes and curriculum documents are developed, used, refined and improved based on performance data from student’s work and feedback from faculty and management. All content is aligned to specified standards of client and supports classroom instruction regardless of the technology platform.

People - Training and Capacity Building

Human is center of each system. Computer may not be new to everyone but digital educational platforms require some skills to take full advantage of it. Training for students, teachers and management is an essential part of our services. This prepares everyone in organization to play their most effective role. Statistics show that person who receive formal training on system are more productive, gain full proficiency faster, and are more likely to hit their performance milestones.

We offer both in-class training as well as online training courses. In-class training modules are developed for each tier (student, teachers and managers) separately and based on hands-on training and project based learning. The trainee gets feel of real time system along with a step to step detailed instruction that can be used individually later on.

We also offer a comprehensive on-line training system for all tiers of organization. The online training programs can save organization time and money by allowing users to complete training independently on their own time. The training material such as PowerPoint, videos, audio files are integral part of the educational platforms and accessible anytime and anywhere. Further, the system generates a full record of each person engagement with the training, and be able to gather feedback to improve policies and training.

Processes and Procedures

After the manpower, it is the processes and procedures which define the success and productivity of any system.  If the processes and protocols are weak or broken, then it will have a strong negative impact on the productivity and end result. The broken processes and procedures can result in:

  • Higher failures and errors
  • Rise in complaints by the users
  • Inconsistent performance by users
  • Frustration by users

Strong processes and procedures are essential part of our system and main drivers of its success.  All our processes and procedures are developed by experienced and high qualified professionals and tested to the highest standards. User-friendliness and robustness are the two main guidelines around which we develop our processes and procedures.
